Don't Forget!

  • One pound of apples generally consists of 4 small apples, 3 medium apples, or 2 large apples.
  • Allow two pounds of apples for one nine-inch pie.
  • Two medium apples are needed to yield one cup of grated apples.
  • One bushel of apples weighs about 42 pounds and will yield 18-20 quarts of canned apple slices.
  • Apples keep best in a cool, dry place (33'-44' F).
